In my early experimentation with Dall-E 2 I asked for it to provide me with a bluetooth speaker "in the style of" various different architectural styles and got some interesting results.  I am a strong believer in AI being able to create "seeds" of inspiration, that we can then derive lots of different sketches from that can also correct or improve upon interesting features that was created.
Instead of a bluetooth speaker, I decided to take it to more of a HIFI route.  The goal was to create something that had a playful nature to it (I have always been a fan of Alessi) in order to visually as well as aurally entertain the user.  Accentuating the legs and turning the speaker into a little four-legged  creature seemed appropriate, and then painting it in an impactful color such as red so as to draw attention to itself.
Putting it through cad was a fairly easy exercise.  The more important part was to make sure it could fit an existing speaker, in case I decide to 3D print the case in the future.
And there you have it. The little rubber feet are existing rubber feet off amazon.  This was a prototype driven decision, so that I could 3d print and source the feet and speakers without having to go custom.  the connectors are at the bottom to be discreet but the sub vent location is a cheeky (see what I did there?) hint at this outspoken creature.
